In Septermber of 2016 a resident of Saline Michigan called upon Arnold's to remodel their bathroom. One month later they called us to also remove and replace their old aluminum coral colored siding. Mark Diver went out and discussed the project with the homeowners.
We tore off the existing siding, installed 3/8 Polar House Wrap, installed trim metal on the chimney, removed and replaced rotted fascia board, replaced 3 gable vents with 22" octagon white vents, installed Rezilliance 1000 D$ Classic Sand Siding and removed and re-installed the gutters.
These homeowners in Whitmore Lake, MI had a sudden siding issue right as we got a snow storm. We knew that we had to do everything we could to help these homeowners out in their time of need. We took a look at the issue and knew there were not many options as the siding was literally falling off of the side of the home and more bad weather was expected. We removed the siding in the afflicted areas and we installed all new siding matching the color as best as we could. The result is that the home remained protected and safe for the winter so they had enough time to think about more long term options. In the end, the homeowners were pleased with the results and we were more than happy to help!
Flat roofs can often be problematic for a few reasons but the main issue is that they often do not allow water to properly drain off of them and that was the case here. Water was frequently getting trapped on this Saline, MI's home and over time the water was seeping through the underlayment and was getting inside of the home. To combat this problem we ripped off the shingles and underlayment to install a thicker underlayment that will act as a nonpermeable membrane. We also reinstalled the shingles to make sure the roof is as strong as possible. We never cut corners and we always strive to do things right the first time!
We get all kinds of requests when we are working on peoples homes and we always try to do everything we can to make sure the homeowner gets exactly what they want. In this case, we were replacing the home's siding and when we stripped down the existing siding the homeowners came to us asking if we could board up a window so a door could be added nearby. Knowing how important the request was we went ahead and boarded up the existing window so they could have a door added nearby. Our crew put in a lot of effort for this kitchen remodeling project in Chelsea, MI. These homeowners wanted everything to be removed and for us to start over and give a modern kitchen that will look great and also be functional. We removed the walls, the floor, and ceiling so these people would get the results that they always dreamed about.
